Blazers up by 2-0 against OKC Thunder with the latest 114-94 win

The Portland Trail Blazer’s guard helped his team win over the OKC Thunder by 114-94 on Tuesday night after he scored 33 points for the team. With this win, Trail Blazers are now up by 2-0 on Thunder in their first-round playoffs series.

With lots of tense moments between both teams, the playoff series between the teams will now move to Oklahoma on Friday where Game 3 will be played.

McCollum said, “I love it and that is what I live for. It is just like playing on the playground.”

For the 3rd seeded Trail Blazers, Damian Lillard added in his 29 points. This is the first time since the 2014 playoffs that Trail Blazers have opened their postseason series with 2 wins. The last one was back in 2014 when the defeated Houston Rockets for 6 games.

Russell Westbrook who scored his 9th career triple-double in the Game 1, scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 11 assists in this game.

Westbrook said, “I need to play better. For tonight’s loss, I take full responsibility because of the way I played was totally unacceptable. I am going to be much better.”

Paul George finished for the night with 27 points despite having lingering shoulder injury which was covered in kinesiology tape.

With the Portland winning Game 1, they ended their 10-game losing skid of postseason which also includes their 4-game sweeps in the last 2 seasons with first one at hands of warriors and the other by Pelicans. In the team’s Sunday win by 104-99, Lillard scored 30 points.

It was the first playoff series for the OKC Thunder since OKC Thunder moved from Seattle to Oklahoma.

Up next, Game 3 of the playoffs series between the two teams will be played on Friday in Oklahoma.
