Earlier this week, new strides have been made in the case of David Ortiz shooting case after Dominican authorities stated that they have identified the man who they believe to have paid for a killing hit on David Ortiz. They also stated that they are closing on both the motive and the mastermind behind this whole incident of shooting the famous slugger who is currently recovering at a hospital located in Boston.
The man identified by the authorities is named Alberto Miguel Rodríguez Mota who also happens to be a fugitive. The annulment was made after a hearing of a judge that was not revealed to the public for another suspect of the case nicknamed Bone. Authorities did not reveal much detail about the court hearing but the media reports of the case state that the real name of the man is Gabriel Alexánder Pérez Vizcaíno. According to the media, this man is also a liaison to the hitman and the person who paid them for doing the dirty deed.
According to the documents, a man who was in prison for a case reached out to Perez for the alleged job on June 9 for shooting t a bar located in Santo Domingo. The man also gave him a picture of the target so he could share it with other hit men.
Perez then shared the picture with other men at a nearby gas station to the bar moments before the shooting. Officials still have not given details as to whether this picture was of Ortiz or not.
The documents also stated that Pérez had also sold a gold-colored iPhone 6 to a woman for a sum of 180 dollars so that he could rid of any evidence of the shooting the next day. Authorities claim that the phone was causing Perez troubles so he decided to sell it.
24 years old Perez is one of the 10 people whom police have detained along with them looking for 2 other mentioned in the documents from the court.
