Former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja criticized the Pakistan Cricket Team for their heavy defeat against Australia in the first Test. He emphasized that the team led by Shan Masood lacked both intent and technique, leading to a disappointing performance.

The first match of the series between Australia and Pakistan was held at the Optus Stadium in Perth, where the Pat Cummins-led team completely dominated the visitors, winning the game by a massive 360-run margin and taking a 1-0 lead in the series.

Australia’s victory followed the usual pattern of batting first, setting a challenging target, and overpowering the opposition. They posted a huge total of 487 runs, with David Warner’s century setting the tone for the team. Mitchell Marsh, Travis Head, Steve Smith, and Alex Carey also made significant contributions, putting Australia in a strong position. Pakistan struggled with their bowling, although Aamer Jamal managed to pick up 6 wickets on his debut.

In their first innings, Pakistan showed initial promise with Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq providing a solid start. However, they faltered and were bowled out for 271 runs. Australia extended their lead by adding 233 runs, setting a daunting total for Pakistan to chase. Despite efforts from Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith, Pakistan’s batting lineup crumbled against the Australian pacers, ultimately getting bowled out for just 89 runs.

PAK vs AUS: “Intent And Technique…,” Ramiz Raja Blasts Pakistan Are Tharshing Loss To Australia

Following Pakistan’s loss against Australia, Ramiz Raja expressed disappointment at the team getting all out in just 31 overs. He praised Australia for their exceptional performance, stating that they were on a different level. Taking to his X account, he explained:

“Intent and technique were both missing from Pak’s ‘resistance menu’. Blown away in just 31overs in the second knock was disappointing. Aussies were on another level.”

Pakistan suffered their 15th consecutive loss against Australia in Australia and will be looking to bounce back in the next game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on December 26th. The new skipper Shan Masood will be eager to lead his team to a comeback in the upcoming matches against Australia.
