Adam Kownacki wins over Chris Arreola after an entertaining battle on points in Brooklyn

The Saturday night fight held in Brooklyn between Adam Kownacki and Chris Arreola ended with a points win for Kownacki at the Barclays Center.

The heavyweight Polish fighter is now still on the contention for a possible world title fight as he now brings his career record up with a 20th consecutive victory. He won over Arreola by the points of 117-111,117-111 and 118-110 from the three judges.

Kownacki charged Arreola form the opening bell and stunned his opponent with a ferocious assault I the 2nd round.

Still, Arreola was still able to challenge his opponent for the title of WBC with his sharp counters despite suffering from a suspected broken hand in the fight.

Kownacki was pushed ahead to the 10 rounds for the first time in his career and also voiced his respect to Arreola after getting the winning verdict from the judges.

Kownacki, who has been linked for a possible fight with Deontay Wilder so in future, said, “I tried to follow him but I was only throwing in 2 punches where I used to throw 3 or 4. Hats off to Arreola who proved that he can still hang in a fight. I am certain that fans would love to see him in the ring again. As for me, I just have to keep training hard and sharpen my skills. We will see what the future holds for me. I hope that next year I will get a shot for a title fight.”
