Antetokounmpo of the Bucks got the fellow Euro tar Luka Doncic again as he helped the Bucks win their 6th straight game on Friday night.
The 19 years old Doncic is the only rookie sensation from Mavericks side for their starting lineup that they put together in the offseason.
Antetokounmpo scored 29 points with 17 rebounds as Bucks defeated the Dallas Mavericks by 122-107 on the Friday night. This was Milwaukee Bucks’ 6th straight win.
Brook Lopez scored 20 points for the Bucks who have managed to make an impressive comeback with 6 matches on both win and loss side as they now stand at 41-13 on the season. One of their 6th straight wins was against Mavericks at home when Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with his 31 points when Doncic only made 18 points.
Mavericks coach, Rick Carlisle said, “Antetokounmpo is a great player but for us to give 80 points in the paint is ridiculous. In this league, you must be able to guard the penetration with force and will. We did not do that tonight.”
As for Mavericks, they were led by Doncic who scored 20 points with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.
Mavericks were playing without their star player Harrison Barnes who had been traded two nights ago to Sacramento Kings. Mavs also had already traded their starters Dennis Smith Jr., Wesley Matthews, and DeAndre Jordan to the New York Knicks.
Talking about this trade and its impact on the game Doncic said, “It’s hard. There were four people that always played with me a lot of time. I just have to adjust playing without them now.”
Up next, Milwaukee Bucks will start their three-game homestand when they will play against Orlando Magic on Saturday night while Dallas Mavericks will play the final game of their three-game homestand against Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night.
