Antetokounmpo powers Bucks to push past Knicks in Christmas debut to win by 109-95

Giannis Antetokounmpo was especially excited on his Christmas debut that he dunked a basket from one corner all the way to the opposite corner on his first attempt.

Antetokounmpo talking about the night said, “I was so excited that I went a little bit too high. I thought that the rim was a foot taller”.

However, he and the Bucks settled down as they won over the Christmas night game between Milwaukee Bucks VS New York Knicks by 109-95.

Antetokounmpo scored 30 points with his 14 rebounds for the night. Antetokounmpo said, “This is one of the highest stages. Only special teams pay on Christmas day. This was a really great opportunity for us and we are really happy about it”.

Bucks were playing their first game since 1977. They were able to play on Christmas because of them emerging as the NBA’s most improved team with stats o 23-10 this seasons.

Brook Lopez of the Bucks finished with 20 points while Malcolm Brogdon scored 17 points.

As for the Knicks, they were led by rookie player Kevin Knox who scored 21 points. With this loss, Knicks have now fallen to 22-31 in their last 53 record NBA games.

David Fizdale, the Knicks coach said, “it is on me to stay even on this whole thing. I do not have to be up and down on my emotions as I have to keep their spirits up. They feel it too, they are human”.

New York Knicks have now lost 5 consecutive games lately and 10 of their last 11 games.

Antetokounmpo was particularly angry at the Knicks forward Mario Hezonja who dunked in the first quarter and then started to step over him. Antetokounmpo called it disrespectful and promised to punch Mario in the groin next time.

Other players from Knicks’ side like Noah Vonle scored 14 points with 15 rebounds whereas Tim Hardaway added in his 14 points for the team.

Up next both teams will complete their season series on Thursday night at Milwaukee.
