Carmelo Anthony of the Houston Rockets shocked at his teammate Chris Paul’s short suspension

Carmelo Anthony has admitted that he is cocked at NBA’s decision for the short two games suspension of his teammate Chris Paul for his art in the ugly mêlée at Staples Centre.

Carmelo talked to media on Sunday, 24 hours later after Chris Paul exchanged punches with Lakers’ guard Rajon Rondo. He said to media that he was expecting Paul to be hit with a far strict sentence.

He said to media, “I am actually shocked at the number of games they are going to miss out. To be totally honest, this actually works out in our favor. In the past sentence could go up from 10 to 15 games. I had been the culprit at one of these incidents too in previous years. Now nothing surprises me with NBA anymore. So for him to get only two game suspension is good”.

Rajon Rondo also did receive the punishment and he is suspended for three games.

Anthony was referring to the brawl of New York Knicks vs. Denver Nuggets back in 2006. Cameron who was with Nuggets at that time was suspended for 15 games.

Chris Paul is going to miss out the Rockets game against Utah Jazz on Wednesday. Cameron also stated that he has talked to Chris who has maintained a positive mindset despite his ban.
“I talked to Chris before our game with Clippers to check if he was good. His spirits are up and nobody wants to be suspended. We all know as to how much competitive he is. To miss out a game against the Clippers after our big win against Lakers, he is surely disappointed. In life things do happen, you just got to adjust to them”.
