Celia Barquin Arozamena; Spanish golfer found dead at Iowa Golf Course

After the Spanish Golfer; Celia Barquin Arozamena was found dead at the Iowa golf course, a man has been charged with the murder.

22 years old Celia Barquin Arozamena had previously won the European Ladies Amateur Championship back in July. She was the student of the Iowa State University.

Golfers on the Coldwater Golf Links located in Ames came to discover an unattended golf bag on Monday morning. Dead boy of Celia Barquin Arozamena was found few distances away from the bag by Ames Police Department.

Police old media that they suspect that golfer died as a result of a deadly assault. One 22 years old man; Collin Daniel Richards has been charged with her murder who has no known address.

Christie Martens; golf coach of the Iowa State head said to media that, “we are all devastated. Celia was a wonderful person who was loved by every person of her golf team. She loved Iowa State dearly and was a great representator of its golf team. We will never forget her passion and drive for the game”.




Dr. Wendy Wintersteen; Iowa State University President added to this by saying that, “this is a tragic loss of not only a student but also a great talented and an acclaimed student athlete. We mourn her death with her family and friends in Spain and her teammates here with us. On the behalf of the Cyclone family we extend our condolences to friend, and family and all the teammates of Celia. We are deeply saddened by her loss”.
