Chelsea beats Arsenal by 2-1; Manchester City wins over Sheffield United by 2-0 in Premier League

In the Premier League game between Chelsea VS Arsenal, Chelsea made a late rally to win the game by 2-1. With this win, they ruined the first home game for Mikel Arteta as in charge of the north London soccer club.

Bernd Leno, the goalkeeper for Arsenal failed a chance to punch the free-kick from Chelsea’s Mason Mount which then allowed Jorginho to score the goal in 83rd minute to even the first-half goal from Arsenal’s Emerick Aubameyang.

Jorginho was fortunate enough in this match for not getting a yellow car even after he pulled down Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi.




The game-winning goal for Chelsea came on a counterattack from the penalty area’s edge as Tamm Abraham scored the goal through the legs of Leno from a close range.

With this win, Chelsea is now at the 4th place in Premier League while Arsenal stands at 12th spot.

Another high profile match of Premier League held between Sheffield United and Manchester United played on the same day ended with a 2-0 shutout victory for Man City. Both of the goals for Manchester City were scored in 2nd half by Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne respectively.

With this win, Man City is now 3rd in League as they now target Leicester for their place who are only one point ahead of them. They are not in a position to target number placed Liverpool in Premier League as they have 14 points lead.

Sheffield United’s only 1 real goal scored by Lys Mousset was disallowed on a VAR decision for being marginally offside.

For the last goal of Man City, Riyad Mahrez combined effort with De Bruyne during the 82nd minute of the game before De Bruyne finished it with a powerful shot.

With this loss, Sheffield United now stands at 8th rank in the league.
