Chicago Bears 24-10 Minnesota Vikings: Bears knock Vikings out of playoffs with convincing win

The Sunday night game of football between Chicago Bears VS Minnesota Vikings ended in a defeat for the Vikings by 24-10.

Chicago Bears, the NFC North Champions with their relentless defense managed to defeat their divisional opponents out f the playoff race.

The Vikings are now 8-7-1 on the season and they have lost their hold on the final World Card spot in the NFC to the defending Super Bowl Champions.

Now Philadelphia Eagles who are currently 9-7 on the season will face off against the Chicago Bear next Weekend. Bears are no 12-4 on the season.

Jordan Howard was the star for the Bears as he rushed for 109 yards along with two touchdowns. A short score run by Tarik Cohen also helped the Bears to maintain a lead after Vikings’ short rally.

Howard gained the 7-0 lead for the Bears in the opening possession. He rushed for 55 yards on his three carries which also included a six-yard sprint in the end zone.

Howard’s second TD pass led to Bears being at 13-0 lead which was his 9th TD of the season. Minnesota managed to make the score 13-4 with Dan Bailey’s 45-yard field goal with only 45 seconds left to the game.

A short TD pass caught by Stefon Diggs in the third quarter allowed the Vikings to have the score of 24-10. However, this was all the Vikings were able to manage to get close.

FIRST QUARTER

Bears 7-0 Vikings: Jordan Howard made a six-yard touchdown run.

SECOND QUARTER

Bears 13-0 Vikings: Howard made a one-yard touchdown run.

Bears 13-3 Vikings: Dan Bailey made a 45-yard field goal.

THIRD QUARTER

Bears 13-10 Vikings: Kirk Cousins made a two-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs.

FOURTH QUARTER

Bears 21-10 Vikings: Tarik Cohen made a three-yard touchdown run.

Bears 24-10 Vikings: Parkey made a 42-yard field goal.
