The Thanksgiving game of NFL between Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions held at the Ford Field was ended with a 24-20 win for the Bears. Mitchell Trubisky made 3 TDs along with 338 throwing yards.
With this win, Bears are now 6-6 on the season after getting a late edge over the Lions during the 4th quarter. The game ended with a game-winning TD by David Montgomery.
As for the Lions, they are now 3-8-1 on the season with their 8th loss of the season after the debut of their NFL rookie QB David Blough. Blough finished the night for Lions by completing 22 of his 38 passes for 280 yards along with 2 TDs and 1 late interception. He was playing as the starter of Lions without key QBs Jeff Driskell and Matthew Stafford.
The game was started in a perfect manner by Trubisky who went on to score a 10-yard TD on the opening drive following a pass to teammate Allen Robinson.
Blough then responded in a similar enthusiastic fashion to Lions fan base with his 75-yard TD pass made to Kenny Golladay.
Lions were able to hold off Chicago Bears and then Blough made a 75-yard drive for making his 8-yard TD to take the lead of the game by 14-7.
After the first half’s break, Chicago Bears put the game in overdrive and following that came to the 18-yard TD from Jesper Horsted to even the score at 17-17. With 10 minutes to the final round, Prater made a field goal to make the score 20-17 in favor of Chicago Bears.
After the Lions were able to make the score even at 20-20, Trubisky made a pass to Montgomery for making the 3-yard TD that allowed the game to end with a 24-20 score.
