The Sunday night game of NFL between Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles ended with a dominant 37-10 win for the Cowboys. Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot were both the stars of Cowboys as Prescott set a franchise record while Elliot had more than 100 rushing yards.
After a glorious start of the season with 3 wins of the early 3 games, Cowboys have since then slumped to suffer 3 defeats in a row. However, ahead of the bye week for them, they were able to be back with the winning ways and no less than against their rivals of NFC East.
In a dominant display of their offense, the audience saw them making 189 rushing yards with 3 TDs against a team like Eagles who are ranked as the 2nd best in terms of their rushing defense.
Amari Cooper then added in his 106 yards that saw Cowboys taking a dominant control of the division and then move back in the top standing of the East.
Dak Prescott made an 8-yard TD during the 4th quarter at the AT&T Stadium which was his 21st TD as the QB of Cowboys. This last TD was the one that sealed the dominant victory of the Dallas Cowboys. With this, Prescott has overthrown the previous record holder of Dallas Cowboys for most TDs made by a Cowboys’ single caller in the team history. The previous holder was Roger Staubach with his 20 TDs.
Up next for the Dallas Cowboys is the bye week as they will prepare to take on the NFC East rivaling team New York Giants in Week 9 for the Monday Night Football game.
As for the Philadelphia Eagles, who are currently 5-1 on the season, they will be playing against the Buffalo Bills who are also 5-1 on the season. This is the best start of the season for the Bills since 2008’s NFL season. After the game with Bills, Eagles will take on Chicago Bears in the Week 9 game at the Lincoln Financial Field.
