Danny Willett wins the BMW PGA Championship by holding off Jon Rahm at Wentworth

In the outstanding performance by Danny Willett in the final round of the BMW PGA Championship held in Wentworth, je held down Jon Rahm to win the championship by 3-shot.

Willett was able to fight off the adverse conditions against him to gain a  hot start that opened with a 2-shot lead over Rahm and Willett was then able to maintain this lead all the way to the end and closed 5-under 67 to have the 20-under par winning score.

Despite their best efforts Billy Horschel, Patrick Reed, and Christiaan Bezuidenhout, the last 18 holes turned into what was two-horse race for the final pair.

finally it was Rahm who came on the inning side to hold his 7th European Tour trophy which is his first one since he played in the final in Dubai last season.
