Denny Hamlin wins the race at Phoenix and reaches the NASCAR Championship 4

After having a whole week of being under the pressure, Denny Hamlin can now take a breath of relief.

For his 6th seasons in the NASCAR, Denny Hamlin has found the victory lane once more on Sunday as he gives himself a chance to race at the next week’s Championship 4.

Entering the race at the Bluegreen Vacations 500 at the ISM Raceway, Deny Hamlin was in a tough spot with 20 points from the final spot for the championship race next week. In order for Denny Hamlin to reach the final four of the Monster Energy Cup Series, he was in need to finish with 20 points or more which was ahead of the other competitor Joey Logano.

However, Denny Hamlin chooses another approach to win this spot.

Denny Hamlin, who drove the no. 11 Toyota for the Joe Gibbs Racing, said after his win, “From the last week’s race, I knew that we had a fighting chance. I had everything I needed for going to Phoenix and win the race. I only made sure to complete my job and this feels get to have the result like this.”

Next week, Denny Hamlin with his two teammates for the Gibbs Racing; Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr., as well as Kevin Harvick, will race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Cup championship.

Hamlin said of his Chris Gabehart and his pep talk on the message, “A lot of was like ‘Expect more from yourself.’  He is always there to check up on me and also to see where my head is at.”

Denny Hamlin also said that he and his fellow driver from the playoff, Kyle Larson, in order to keep their minds at ease, played tennis until 1 is in the morning.

Up next will be the championship race next Sunday in which Logano will be participating as the defending driver.
