The purse bid from the Tyson Fury VS Deontay Wilder fight back in December has been postponed for one week by the WBC.
The taking o the purse bid was due for Tuesday but the negotiation period has been extended by the WBC president Mauricio Suleiman after the requests from the management of both fighters.
Suleiman told media, “We have extended the negotiations for one week as per their requests.”
Wilder managed to retain his WBC Heavyweight title belt after a split decision draw against Fury back in December. WBC has informed both fighters to finalize their second fight.
If both fighters do not come to an agreement for the second fight, the purse bid will be held on 12th February with a 60-40 split in Wilder’s favor.
Anthony Joshua; Britain’s unified champion, was set to face Wilder for a clash on April 13th at Wembley but Wilder has now been officially ordered by the champion to have his next title defence fight against Fury.
