Even when a team that has not won a game in the past one month took them to overtime, neither Brooklyn Nets nor Spencer Dinwiddie was bothered by it.
Spencer Dinwiddie scored 31 points for the Brooklyn Nets as they won over New Orleans Saints by 1078-101 during Overtime this Tuesday night. With this loss, the losing streak of Pelicans now extends to 13 games.
Dinwiddie said, “I know I sound like a broken record but it is the same old thing. If we can hold a team to 100 then we have a chance of winning the game. Tonight we were bad offensively speaking.”
Joe Harris added in his 24 points for the Brooklyn Nets while Dinwiddie scored more than half of the team’s total points.
Alvin Gentry, the coach for Pelicans said, “The guys, they are still competing and playing hard. This was our best defensive game so far against a team that is really good at offensive play. I did not think that we were discouraged. I thought we played and battled really hard. We just came up a little short.”
Ingram led the Pelicans as he scored 22 points as well as 10 rebounds while Jrue Holiday scored 21 points for the team.
From the Brooklyn Nets’ side, Jarrett Allen scored 12 points with 14 rebounds to have tied with career-high of 6 blocks as Nets won 5th of their last 7 games.
Up next, Brooklyn Nets will play a game against the San Antonio Spurs while Pelicans will take on Minnesota Vikings for a road game.
