Francesco Laporta victorious at the Challenge Tour Grand Final

Francesco Laporta was able to card a level-par 71 which allowed him to win the Francesco Laporta by being 2 shots clear and also able to finish at the top of the rankings for the Road To Mallorca.

Francesco Laporta started the competition for the final round with Sebastian Heisele of Germany at the Club de Golf Alcanada. However, Francesco Laporta’s rival could only muster up to have two-over 73 after the start of the play was delayed by rain.

Francesco Laporta was then able to finish on the 6-under 278 while Heisele settled for the 2nd place with Robin Sciot-Siegrist of France finishing at 3rd place.  He also missed out on his chance to be in the European Tour for the next season.

The 4th place was shared by the English duo of Matthew Jordan and Jack Senior; both of whom fired for 72s whereas Oliver Farr of Wales finished at 5th with Bryce Easton and Marcel Schneider both sharing the 6th place.

As for Francesco Laport, he was able to collect a winning check of 72000 pounds for his win which now sees him at the top of the Road To Mallorca rankings ahead of Callum Hill of Scotland. The top 15 of the Road To Mallorca will receive the promotion for the next season’s European Tour.
