Jacob deGrom, the ace of New York Mets makes history for MLB with both his arm and his bat

Jacob deGrom was not at all willing to let the Atlanta Braves get out better of him on Friday night’s game of Nets VS Braves. The pitching ace of Mets was able to keep his team in the hot contest for the NL East in the game held in New York with both his bat and arm as he made history for MLB.

The ace of Mets was able to strike out 13 batters along with making a single Home Run in the 6th inning to level the game 1-1. This is the 2nd time this MLB season that deGrom has made a home turn in which he also strikes out 13 batters.

Since the current pitching mound distance was made back in 1983, no other pitcher has managed to achieve this feat for 2 times in their career let alone to do such a thing 2 times in a single MLB season.

Watch the moment as Jacob deGrom made history by hitting a home run.

The first time he did so was in the Mets game against Miami Marlins on April 3rd when deGrom strikes out 14 batters and made a home run.

The winner of the CY Young Award of 2018 deGrom has nearly 200 strikeouts for his 3rd appearance in a row for MLB and his 4th in 5 years. He has managed to strikeout nearly 8 batters in one game in a row on Friday’s game.
