James Harden of Houston Rockets’ James Harden beats Trae Young and Atalanta Hawks to make history with 40-point triple-doubles

In the game of NBA; Houston Rockets VS Atalanta hawks, James harden helped the team take a safe lead early in the first half. However, his misses did help Atlanta Hawks a fair bit and especially Trae Young.

Harden had 41 points which include 22 in the 1st quarter that allowed for Houston Rockets to win over Trae Young and Atlanta hawks by 122-115.

Harden also recorded 100 assists as well as 10 rebounds to have his 2nd triple-double in a row. He was only able to make 9 of his 34 shots which include making 4 of his 20 3-pointer attempts.

As for Trae Young of Hawks, he kept up pace with Harden as the 2nd year guard for Hawks scored 42 points as well as along with 10 assists and 13 rebounds for his own 40-point triple-double. With both players making the triple-double, they have become the only two ever players in NBA to have scored triple-double playing for opposite teams in a single game.

As for 2nd half, it was then when Harden started to fade quite a bit as he could only make 2 of his 18 shots.

Mike D’Antoni, the coach of Houston Rockets said, “I think, that we had a couple of guys who ran out of gas. Our legs obviously got tired and we just had to hang on till the end. Harden could not shoot the ball well at that time. So be it.”

Harden’s first 40-point triple-double came after he scored 44 points along with 11 assists and 11 rebounds in Rockets’ game against Philadelphia 76ers, which Rockets won by 118-108.

Harden said, “They made the shots and we missed the shots. They are really a feisty team.”

Other players of Rockets pitched in with Clint Capela scoring 22 points with his 22 rebounds while Ben McLemore scored 18 points as Rockets win their 3rd game in a row. S
