On the Wednesday night game of basketball between Houston Rockets and the Cleveland Cavaliers, James Harden once again scored the 3-pointers that have made him famous. This time his scoring spree had the rookie of Cavs Kevin Porter Jr. looking again and again to his team’s bench to ask for help but nothing could be done against Harden.
Porter said, “He made lots of shots and you cannot do anything about it.”
Harden scored 55 points, 20 of them were scored in 4thy quarter, along with Russell Westbrook adding his 23 points to lead Houston Rockets win over Cavs by 116-110 after holding off a scare from their opponents.
Harden scored 4 3-pointers as he shot 7 of his 8 shots from the fourth to match the arena record set by Kyrie Irving for the most points scored in a game. This was his 4th 50-point performance of the season as he allowed for Houston Rockets to win once more, who had previously allowed for Cavs to take 24 points in a row during 2nd half.
Mike D’Antoni, coach for Houston Rockets said, “He is really incredible. If it was the 1st time he has done this, I would be like, ‘Wow, Look at that’, but eh ahs done it at this amazing level for so many years now.”
With this Harden has become the 4th player in history of NBA to have multiple games where one scored 10 or more 3-pointers. The pothers to have done so are Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and JR Smith.
Cleveland had a lead near the end but then they crumbled during the final minute as they made 3 turnovers. But in reality it was their inability of stopping Harden. He scored 55 points as if he was free to score as many points in any way he liked.
Up next for Houston Rockets, they will be having a road game on Friday against the Orlando Magic. Rockets have won 11 of their last 14 games.
As for Cavs, they will be starting their 3-game road trip on Thursday with a game against San Antonio Spur first.
