Josi and Saros lead as Nashville Predators beat Rangers by 5-2

Nashville Predators, who were coming to the game against the Rangers with back to back losses, had a strong defense and made some timely goals to gain this much-needed win.

Roman Josi scored 2 goals along with 1 assist while Nashville Predators goalie Juuse Saros made 39 saves as the Predators won over New York Rangers by 5-2.

The other 3 goals for the Nashville Predators were scored by Rocco Grimaldi, Mattias Ekholm, and Ryan Ellis respectively as the team wins their 3rd of the last 5 games.

Ellis said, “We did a bit of the soul searching and tonight we made some good step in the right direction. We need to continue that and it was just a complete game.”

The 2 goals of the Rangers were scored by Chris Kreider and Artemi Panarin respectively while their goalie Alexandar Georgiev stopped 19 shots as the Rangers now lose 3 of the last 5 games for a record of 2-2-1.

Mika Zibanejad of Rangers said, “They are a really good hockey team. You cannot really give them anything. They take advantage of anything and tonight that is what they did.”

With only 20 minutes into the game, the score was tied at 1-1 and Panarin was about to give the lead to Rangers at the start of the 2nd period but his pc dropped near the goal line but never crossed it and the no-goal was confirmed on review.

Nashville Predators were given their 2nd lead by Josi with only 9 minutes to the 2nd period. Kyle Turris then scored the goal for Predators with 7 minutes into the 3rd period and Saros stopped a goal from a shot by Zibanejad to keep the game tied at 2-2.

Josi then scored his 2nd goal of the game and his 9th of the season with only 53 seconds to the 3rd period.

Up next, Nashville Predators will be playing against the New York Islanders while New York Rangers will host a game on Friday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
