Kempe leads as last-place Los Angeles Kings beat Vegas Golden Knights by 5-2

In the NHL game of Los Angeles Kings VS the Vegas Golden Knights, it did not take much for Jack Campbell, the goalie of Kings to be fired up and play his best game at the T-Mobile Arena.

He said, “You do not need to be amped up when you are in Vegas. It is only Showtime.”

Campbell stopped 44 of the 46 shots he had faced in the game while Adrian Kempe also helped the Los Angeles King as they defeated the Vegas Golden Knights for a surprising 5-2 victory.  Kempe scored 2 goals for the Los Angeles Kings in this Thursday night game.

Campbell said, “It is pretty fun to play in Vegas and the fans here and the team they have. You don’t even need to psych yourself up because it is that much of a fun place to play.”

Los Angeles Kings, who entered this game with the last place of the Western Conference, used the first period to have 4 goals for building a strong lead before Campbell stopped the co-leading team of Pacific Division for the rest of the game.

Todd McLellan, the coach of Los Angeles Kings said, “He, for some reason plays very well here. And when a team comes out of this stadium with a win, it says a lot that your goalie was great because the team we played against is a quality team.”

For the Golden Knights, it was 7th of their last 10 games that they have allowed a team a win by 4 goals and it was also their 4th straight game where they allowed a visiting team to score the opening goal.

Up next, Los Angele Kings will play on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes while Vegas Golden Knight will host a game on Saturday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
