Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics lost his cool on the Monday night game of Denver Nuggets VS Boston Celtics and now he is going to literally pay for it.
NBA announced that Kyrie Irving is going to have to pay a fine of 25 thousand dollars following his act of throwing balls into the stands. Kyrie Irving in a moment of frustration, after Celtics lost to Nuggets by 115-107 on Monday night, threw the ball into the stands.
This incident occurred after the Nuggets guard; Jamal Murray made a three-pointer shot at the final buzzer with the game being already decided. Jamal made this shot to make his career high of 48 points in a single game to an impressive 51 points.
Irving after being irked by Murray’s action grabbed the ball from his hands and chucked into the Denver’s Pepsi Centre stands.
When the media asked him as to what prompted him to do such a thing? H replied, “What competitor wouldn’t be bothered by it?”
He further stated, “I did not want to make a big deal out of it. I was pissed after the game but it was time to move on. Congrats to Murray for his 48 points. But after his move like that, the ball indeed deserved to be thrown into the stands.”
As for Murray e said to media, “I was just trying to get a 50, I was not trying to harm anyone. I shouldn’t have done it but they do understand I was trying to get a 50”.
