Leipzig draw 3-3 following Dortmund’s mistakes to consolidate lead in Bundesliga

In the Tuesday night game of Bundesliga between Dortmund and the leader of league Leipzig, Leipzig came back from being trialing 2 times to draw 3-3 against Borussia Dortmund all because of heir mistakes.

The players who made faults from Dortmund’s side in this match were their goalkeeper Roman Bürki, their midfielder Julian Brandt and their Defender Raphaël Guerreiro that allowed for visiting Leipzig to score goals to draw the match. With this draw game; Dortmund has lost their chance of closing the gap between them and Leipzig for the top spot of Bundesliga by one point.

Bürki said, “When you are leading the game by 2-0, then you hope for bringing it to the end. Unfortunately, we made the game exciting again.”

Peter Gulacsi, the goalkeeper of Leipzig made a save with his fingertip to deny Dortmund a goal on an attempt from Mats Hummels. Julian Weigl rewarded the home side with a 23rd-minute goal after Gulacsi stopped a shot from Jadon Sancho.

In other matches of Bundesliga, Union Berlin hopes to end this campaign of Bundesliga with a perfect record ended in a 2-0 loss against Hoffenheim. After Berlin won their 4 last games at home without ever conceding a goal, they were now aiming for a 5th no-goal win. No club has ever managed that feat in Bundesliga.

Christian Gentner, the defender for Union Berlin said, “Brutally Annoying.”

As for the game between Werder Bremen and Mainz, Mainz was able to beat their opponents by 5-0 while Augsburg won over Fortuna Düsseldorf by 3-0.
