Lillard leads Trail Blazers over Clippers by 131-127

Trail Blazers were cruising with a 15 points lead in the first quarter but then suddenly things got wild on Monday night.

 

Trail Blazers went on a later rally to win the Monday night game of basketball between LA Clippers VS Portland Trail Blazers by 131-127.




This was the Portland’s first win since November 20th after losing six consecutive games.

Lillard the star of the night said to media, “we have had a rough stretch lately and we let few games slip away. It was especially important for us to win this on the road.”

Trail Blazers were led by Lillard who scored 39 points for the night. As for Danilo Gallinari, he scored 22 points.

Clippers were forced t foul Lillard who completed both of his free throws to seal the Portland’s win.

From the Clippers side, Harris also matched with Lillard with his season-high 39 points to lead the team. The rookie guard of Clippers, Gilgeous-Alexander scored his career best of 24 points for the team who has now lost four games in a row this season.

Harris said, “We have got to start on our defensive end and pick up on our physicality. We have now got to be a little more locked in.”

Up next, Portland Trail Blazers will host a game against Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday whereas LA Clippers will host a game against Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
