Mario Zaburski, the New Jersey man who was hit by a golf cart was awarded $3.65 million

A resident of the Teaneck in New Jersey was struck by a golf cart while he was playing at the Alpine Country Club located in Demarest and now he is due for a sum of 3.6 million dollars as a payout for sustaining injuries.

The man in question is named Mario Zaburski who was awarded the payout by a jury of Bergen County. Mario Zaburski claimed that he was standing near the par-3 9th hole on a business holiday back in July of 2015 when a person named Jerome Klein struck him with his golf car unexpectedly.




A lawsuit was filed by Mario Zaburski against Klein in April of 2017 for the disregard of the safety of the others by driving his cart in a reckless and careless manner.

The injuries that Zaburski suffered also aggravated his pre-existing condition that has caused him lost of financial hardship as he missed his work as a wealth manager and also forced him to spend a lot of money for the medical treatments.

After a 4-day trial, the jury ordered Klein to pay a sum of 1 million dollars in pain and suffering, 150000 dollars for future medical expense and 2.5 million dollars in lost wages to Zaburski.

According to court documents, Klein has not accepted the responsibility for the crash and said that Zaburski saw the peril and should have avoided this incident.

As for the Alpine Country Club, they were not targeted in this lawsuit.
