Neils De Vos; UK Athletics Chief Executive has announced that he is going to step down from his position at the end of September. Neils de Vos has been at this position or nearly 11 years now.
51 years old Vos was the reason behind the improvement of Britain’s performance in International and national sports which especially includes the performance in the 2012 London Olympics.
UKA confirmed this news on Friday that De Vos who also overlooked the London’s hosting of 2107 Athletics World Championships is going to leave his role at the end of month.
Richard Bowker; UKA Chairman released a statement in honor of Neils de Vos say8ng that, “Neils has been a fantastic servant for both UKA and for the whole of Athletics. Under his leadership, the athletics have rapidly grown in positive manner. We are happy to say that we are looking at a better future for both UK Athletics as an organization as well sports of Athletics in UK. We are going to search for a new chief Executive shortly after Neils’ retirement.”
During the searching period of the new UKA Chief Executive; the role of UKA interim Chief Executive will be held by Nigel Holl who is the current UKA strategy and partnerships director.
