Nets beat Hornets by 134-132 in 2OTs

Kemba Walker had the Nets down and out but suddenly they turned their gimmick defense which forced the ball out of his hands.

In the end, it turned into a game-winning play for the Brooklyn Nets.

The Wednesday night game of basketball between Brooklyn Nets VS Charlotte Hornets ended with Nets miraculous win by 134-132.

Malik Monk of the Hornets tried to make a winning play for the team but he lost the dribble and Joe Harris gathered the ball in midcourt for a tiebreaking layup with 3.4 seconds to the game in its 2nd OT.




Nets were led by Joe Harris for the night who scored his season-high 27 points whereas Spencer Dinwiddie scored 37 points with 11 assists as the Nets won their ninth game in their last 10 games.

Kenny Atkinson, Nets coach said, “Just a total team win. Sure, Spencer, Spencer hit some amazing shots but the whole group had some big plays and that is kind of how we are built. This is what we are going to keep going forward”.

Other payers of the Brooklyn Nets like Rondae Hollis-Jefferson added in his 16 points with 15 rebounds while rookie player Rodions Kurucs scored 13 points with 12 boards.

As for the Hornets, they were led by Joe Harris who scored 35 points for the team. He was on the roll and had Net almost down but they did whatever to force the ball out of his hands late in the game.

Walker talking about that said, “I don’t know if anyone had been guarded this way in the league before me or not. It was like a box in 1 and I have not seen that since college. It was pretty crazy and I guess that is what teams are going to do. I just have to keep trust in my teammates to make plays.”

Jerry Lamb of the Hornets scored his 31 points in this opener of a home-and-home series.

Up next, both teams will meet in Charlotte on Friday.
