On Thursday, New Orleans Saints finally reached the agreement with the fee agent wide receiver in NFL; Dez Bryant.
The deal is officially signed by the former Dallas Cowboys player on Thursday.
New Orleans Saints was in discussion with thee wide receivers this season since Tuesday. The first was Dez Bryant and other two were Brandon Marshall; former player of Seattle Seahawks and Kamar Aiken; former player of Baltimore Ravens.
30 years old Dez Bryant, announced the news on social media saying, “#ThrowuptheX and thanked former team-mate Jaylon Smith by stating “done deal”.
Saints were looking for a receiver after they placed one of their own; Ted Ginn Jr. on injured reserve.
To replace him, their number 1 option is Michael Thomas with other players like rookie Tre’Quan Smith, Cameron Meredith and slot receiver Austin Carr also bring on the list.
Bryant was released by Dallas Cowboys back in April and he is the free agent ever since. Since then he has visited any teams and also had been in discussion with Cleveland Browns back in August. They briefly negotiated terms but never settled.
Dez has 7459 receiving yards and 73 TDs in his career. Last season he made 69 catches for 838 yards along with 8 touchdowns. That was his eight season in NFL and he spent all of these seasons with Dallas Cowboys.
After being released by Cowboys, he also rejected the three years deal from Baltimore Ravens. He is only planning to sign a one year deal and to plan a long term deal next season.
