Pittsburgh Penguins late rally ends Islanders’ 10-game win streak to an end

During the NHL game between Pittsburgh Penguins and the New York Islanders on Thursday night, Bryan Rust scored a late goal during the overtime to lead the team’s 4-3 win over the Islanders. With this win, the 10-game win streak of Islanders came to an end.

Rust took hold of the puck from the center of Islanders, Brock Nelson from behind the net and then he beat the goalie of Islanders Semyon Varlamov to make a wraparound goal with 3:25 minutes left to the game. With this, Rust has scored 5 goals in the last 5 games.

Pittsburgh Penguins were able to end their 3-goal deficit during the 3rd quarter of the game as they ended their 3-game losing skid. 2 goals of Pittsburgh Penguins were scored by Jared McCann where the third goal was scored by Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins.  As for Matt Murray, the goalie of Pittsburgh Penguins, he made 20 saves in this game.

From the Islanders’ side, goals were scored by Casey Cizikas, Cal Clutterbuck and Adam Pelech respectively whereas their goalies, Varlamov made 25 saves.

As for the game between Avalanche and Predators, it ended with a 9-4 win for The Avalanches. Joonas Donskoi of the Avalanches scored his first hat trick of the season to help the team beat the Predators.

The game between Capitals VS Panthers ended with a 5-4 OT win for the Capitals. Tom Wilson scored 2 goals from Capitals’ side to help the team secure its 5th win in a row.

As for Flyers VS Canadiens game, it ended with 3-2 win for the Flyers during the OT. Sean Couturier, James van Riemsdyk, and Phil Myers scored the 3 goals of Flyers whereas their goalie Carter Hart made 22 saves.

The high profile game of MAPLE LEAFS VS GOLDEN KNIGHTS, it ended in a win for Maple Leafs by 2-1 in the OT.
