Roberto Agut after following his shocking victory over the world no. 1 Novak Djokovic has once again stunned the world by winning the Qatar Open title in his final match against the Tomas Berdych on Sunday.
The Spaniard was able to win a hard-fought victory against his Czech Republic opponent Tomas Berdych in three sets. He won the match by 6-4, 3-6 and 6-3 which was held in Doha.
Agut after winning the match said, “It has been a fantastic week for me. Today, for me, it was not easy to manage all the emotions I had on the court today.”
Berdych talking about his opponent’s win said, “Roberto was too good in our match today, so well done for him today. I am happy for his week.”
On the other hand for the Maharashtra Open title in Pune in the final match, the old no. 6 Kevin Anderson managed to win the match against the veteran player Ivo Karlovic.
Anderson talking about Karlovic said, “Firstly I want to thank Karlovic for a great week. What you are doing is truly inspirational. To be able to see you play like this is really amazing.”
He further added about his victory, “It was really close in our match. It could have gone either way. Obviously, I am very very happy to have gone one step further than last year.”
