This gold medal marks her 2nd one at this year’s World Para-Athletics Championships after she also won the 100 meters race last Sunday.

Somewhere else, the 19 years old Lyle claimed the 2nd gold medal for the Britain team in the event of a T35 100 meters race. Lyle had also won the 100 meters race on last Sunday as she ran for a record time of 30.33 seconds to complete the doubles race at the World Para-Athletics Championships.

The Scottish Paralympian said, “I don’t think that it has really sunk in for me. I think it still shows how far I have come from how I was last year. Last year I was feeling depressed and also suffering from a lot of anxiety.  I can now enjoy my life and my training and racing. So from my perspective, this is a really great achievement for me.”
