Pakistan is hoping to finish their tour with a consolation win when both teams; Pakistan and South Africa will face each other for the third and final T20I that will be held on Wednesday in Centurion.
The Porteas were able to win the T20I series with a 7-run win over the visitors in Johannesburg. The Porteas were able to claim the second T20 match and the overall series after the visiting team; Pakistan, suffered a loss of 6-34 in 24 balls.
For the Pakistani team, this is their first T20 series defeat in the last 12 series. Pakistan was ranked no. 1 in the 20 teams for having won the last 11 matches prior to losing the first T20 match against South Africa in Cape Town.
David Miller is going to resume his position of being the team’s captain after he filled in place of the usual skipper and captain Faf du Plessis who is sidelined for the past two matches of the series.
On the other hand, Usman Shinwari’s place is rather in dangerous waters as he finished for the worst T20I Pakistani bowler with figures like 0-63. He also allowed the host team to score 29 points in the final over of the innings that proved much of the difference for the game.
Still, Captain Sarfraz Ahmad might be making a comeback in this Third T20 International Series match after serving his four-match ban handed don previously by the International Cricket Committee. He was handed down the ban over his racist comments which he aimed at South Africa’s Andile Phehlukwayo during the second ODI in Durban.
