Warriors beat Blazers by 115-105 to avenge earlier loss this week

The Saturday night game of basketball of Golden State Warriors on the road felt a little like home for Klay Thompson.

Perhaps it was what helped him shoot his way out of the slump.

Klay Thompson is the son of the former Portland Trail Blazers’ Mychal Thompson. Thompson grew up in Portland. On the Saturday night game of basketball between Golden State Warriors VS Portland Trail Blazers, Klay Thompson led the Warriors for a win by 115-105.

Warriors avenged their earlier week’s loss absent the Blazers by winning this game. Both Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant scored 25 points each for the Warriors.

At one point in the game, Klay made a 3-pointer shot and talked to his hand. What did he say? He said, “I missed you. It’s good to see you again. It’s been a five-game absence where he has not been in the game. So to see the ball go in at a high rate, it felt really good.”

Steve Kerr, The Warriors coach was also happy about Klay’s performance as he said, “the shots just went in. I did not tin that the quality of his shot attempts looked much better than it did tonight. I think that the law of averages just took over.”

If there is any place that Thompson finds most comfortable to be at, it is when he is in the Portland’s Moda Center which was formerly known as the Rose Garden during his childhood.

Thompson talking about the Rose Garden said, “It is like my second home. I was very fortunate to come at lots of Blazers games in Rose Garden. To be back here and playing for my family is surreal. It feels like I am getting old. It feels like it was only just yesterday that I was in the hallways trying to get autographs. It’s always a pleasure to be back here”.

As for the Trail Blazers, they were led by Damian Lillard who scored 40 points off his 6 3-pointer shots. It is the fifth time this season that Lillard has scored at least 40 points in a game.

Up next, Warriors will play against the Phoenix Suns on Monday night whereas Trail Blazers will play against the Philadelphia 76ers.
