Russell Westbrook is on another one of his runs.
The dynamic point guard of the OKC Thunder had 16 points, 16 assists, and 15 rebounds as he had his seventh straight triple-double for the team as they defeated the Orlando Magic by 132-122 on Tuesday night.
Westbrook managed to match the longest triple-double streak of his career while managing his 20th of the season and his 124th overall. During this streak, he is averaging in 20.2 points, 13.2 rebounds and 14.4 assists as Thunders are currently 6-1.
With Westbrook leading the team, OKC Thunder is averaging in 124.6 points in their last 7 games.
Paul George of the Thunder said, “He is definitely the reason for all this. He is the reason that we are currently having the highest offensive months in the Thunder’s history. I cannot even give him enough credit for his efforts to carry our offense to the level it currently is.”
Paul Georg himself scored 39 points on Tuesday night. Other players of Thunder; Dennis Schroder scored 25 points while Jerami Grant scored 19 points to help the Thunder’s win their eighth game in their last 9 games.
As for the Orlando Magic, they were led by Evan Fournier, who scored 25 points while Aaron Gordon scored 18 points and 10 assists for the team.
Magic had a total of 29 fouls as well as their two players fouled out.
Up next, Orlando Magic will play against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday while OKC Thunder will host a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night.
