Dillian Whyte was able to remain true to is aspirations for the world title shot by beating his opponent of the heavyweight fight held in Saudi Arabia; Mariusz Wach. Dillian Whyte won the fight by unanimous decision.
The contender for the heavyweight championship, Dillian Whyte was able to keep his hopes for the championship alive only 24 hours later of being cleared by the UK Anti Doping agency where he maintained his innocence of never using the banned substance for his win over Oscar Rivas.
Dillian Whyte admitted about is lacking performance, “I was nowhere near my standard form because I was fighting on short notice and was overweight but I still knew that I can get through the rounds. For the last few months I had been through hell but we are back and we are here.”
Dillian Whyte was able to find the chance to land stiff rights near the 1st round’s end and then opened up a little more as he made Wach come closer.
Wach, the man who challenged Vladimir Klitschko for his world titles and has also fought against Alexander Povetkin and Martin Bakole, was able to gain the lead in the 5th with some solid punches.
Still, he w not where near the power of Whyte’s punches. Both of these fighters came to this fight on a late notice which meant that both of them were overweight the limit.
Whyte took the dominant stance in the 8th with his left hook to leave Wach stumbled. The audience in the 9th round saw Whyte roaring and then unleashing all he had in him to beat Wach with but the experienced Wach too responded with his skills.
The final say from the experts says that Whyte has the upper hand as Wach stumbled on his legs. Whyte then looked for the KO chance but time ran out. Still, he came out winning the deserved victory by the unanimous decision of 98-93 once and 97-93 twice.
