In England’s third test win against the West Indies, Joe Root says that his batting really clicked as he made an unbeaten century.
Roots only made 11 runs in the series prior to the team’s second innings in St. Lucia. Previously, Joe Root only hit fifty runs mark in his last 11 Test matches.

Root told media, “At the start of the game, it felt like a long way, especially after the last Test when I got some deliveries in. it is really pleasing to make a start count. I am glad to have made it count when I got the chance. Today, my batting really clicked in. I have been working really hard with batting coach Mark Ramprakash and some other coaches as well. It is nice to see your work pay off. I hope this will also be a foundation as to what comes in the long run.”
Joe further told the media, “I have been working on a few things in the practice as I try to line myself up a bit better. My body is not doing what I have been trying, most of the times which are quite frustrating but this thing happens in your career.”
Root’s side closed the day with 325-4 which age them a lead of overall 448 runs with still two days remaining to the series. Now the captain is going to ponder overnight of his declaration about day four.
Root said, “We can have a little think about it as to how roller will affect the wicket and the judgment call early on.”
