Young has 48 as Atlanta Hawks beat New York Knicks by 140-135 in 2 OTs

Trae Young was disappointed in his team Atalanta Hawks for letting the New York Knicks take the big lead with a  rally in the regulation and then in the first OT. This is why Young then reputedly took the ball and then made dares of getting the Knicks to make fouls.

Young said after the Atlanta Hawks VS Knicks game, “When you take the late lead in the game and then you feel as if we should have won the game in the regulation, and then the game is sent to Overtime, it kinda kills the momentum. That kind of took a lot of energy from us but we still found a way to keep ourselves in the battle and keep on making those shots and getting the stops on our defensive end.”

Young scored 48 points along with 13 assists while John Collins added in his 32 points with 16 rebounds as the Atalanta Hawks won over New York Knicks by 140-13 on Sunday night game which had 2 OTs.

This is the 9th game this season when Trae Young has scored 40 points or more and this is his second-most in NBA this season. The All-Star for the first time made all of his 16 free throws and also had 6 3-pointer shots.

As for the New York Knicks, they were led by Julius Randle who scored 35 points with 18 rebounds while Reggie Bullock added in his 21 points as their 4-game winning streak came to an end. Knicks were playing their 3rd game in the last 4 nights.

Randle said, “We fought extremely hard in this game. It was a game that we felt that we have won but then we let it slip away.”

Up next, New York Knicks will be hosting a game on Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards. As for the Atlanta Hawks, they will be playing on Monday night against the Orlando Magic.
