Prior to the Wednesday night’s game, Devin Booker predicted this to be a big night for and him and he was right.
The Phoenix Suns star started on the night with his season-high 41 points as he led the surging Suns for a win over the New York Knicks by 107-96. This was Phoenix Suns’ fourth win in their last 5 games.
Booker made a total of 23 shots out of which he completed 14 which also includes his 10 3-pointers. Phoenix Suns who are currently the worst NBA team is 15-511 this season is slowly making a performance.
Booker, while trying to hide his grin said, “I said a different number. I did not make it. Still, it felt good. There was a cool vibe in the arena tonight.”
From the Suns’ side, Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 18 points while Tyler Johnson scored 14 points for the Suns who have now 3 games in a row.
As for the New York Knicks, they were led by DeAndre Jordan who scored 17 points while Noah Vonleh, Damyean Dotson and Dennis Smith Jr.; all added in their 15 points each for the team.
David Fizdale; Knicks coach said, ‘tonight we just caved in mentally. Most of it was our carelessness while the rest was our lack of focus on executing the play.”
Suns managed to gain 81-64 points lead in the fourth quarter and were never threatened by the Knicks in the remaining 12 minutes of the play.
Up next, New York Knicks after ending their road trip return home where they will play against Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. As for Phoenix Suns, they will now be playing against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night, which is their first back-to-back game where they will next play against Golden State Warriors.
