On Thursday night’s game between Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers, Marcus Smart shoved the 76ers player Joel Embiid to the ground.
For this reason, the guard of Celtics has been fined for a sum of 50000 dollars by the NBA.
The NBA’s executive vice president of basketball operations named Kiki VanDeWeghe called the action of Smart to be unsportsmanlike conduct during the games this season. Under the light of these actions, he had been given this penalty on Thursday. Smart has also been fined for his two earlier incidents of the 2018-2019 season.
Marcus Smart forcefully shoved Joel Embiid with only 7:06 minutes remaining to the third quarter of the game on Wednesday night. For this, he received 2 flagrant fouls and was ejected out of the game.
The game was won by Philadelphia 76ers by 118-115.
