The second-half goal by Seville’s midfielder named Joan Jordán allowed his team to win over Granada by 1-0 for their 2nd win of the Spanish League held on Friday night.
Jordán is the signing by Seville and is one of the many that they did in this summer. He finished the game with a shot made by Luuk de Jong that had been blocked by rival team’s defender but Jordán was able to set up his stirrer during the 52nd minute of the game.
Granada promoted in this season and was able to hold off the pressure of Seville in the 1st half of the game but they increased their attack in the 2nd half that allowed for Jordáns goal.
Jordán, who is a former player of Eibar, said, “we are very motivated this season and we think that we can get a lot better.”
Currently, Julen Lopetegui is coaching Seville, who is the former managers of Real Madrid and Spain. They won their opening game last week against Espanyol by 2-0.
In other matches of the league, Levante also won over their opponent, Villarreal by 2-1 after Levante’s Roger Martí was able to convert 2 of the 2nd half penalties into goals.
The first penalty was actually stopped by the goalkeeper of Villarreal, Andrés Fernández but then a video review showed that Fernández actually left his line a little too early and the goal was counted.
