Anthony Joshua claims to have brought motivation for Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
Antony Joshua recently talked to media and said that he is the one who has brought motivation to the boxing division and that also includes boxers like Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
Joshua is set to defend his world titles for the sixth time in the past two years. This time he is to defend his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles against Alexander Povetkin in a match to be held on 22nd September.
28 years old Joshua only reacted after hearing the news about Fury who is set to challenge WBC Champion Wilder saying that, “I was always motivated. I brought motivation to the division”.
Joshua said to media that, “a first Klitschko as dominating the division, then Fury won. He took some time out of the sport. Then we came out and brought the motivation to the sport. Now these people are seeing that if they want to have respect they have to fight a stiff competition. The motivation to be the best is always there.”
Joshua is already set for a bout at the Wembley Stadium for his next World Heavyweight title fight on 13th April. As for Fury, he is back from his two and half year time out period and is ready to fight Wilder.
The winner of this match is going to have the chance to grab hold of belt from Joshua’s hand.
Lastly Joshua said to reporters, “When I win I’ll have much more to say. For me there is no other route than to go for WBC. My victories against high level opponents; they speak for themselves”
