Andrade vs. Kautondokwa; the new WBO world middleweight title goes to Demetrius Andrade

Demetrius Andrade managed to drop Walter Kautondokwa a total of four times on his way forward to win the WBO Middleweight title in a fight at TD Garden, Boston.

American Southpaw managed to gain his win over Walter Kautondokwa by a unanimous decision of 120-104 twice and 119-105 in 12 rounds. With this Andrade has become the three times two-weight world champion.

Andrade was initially set to fight the previous owner of the title Billy Joe Saunders but had no problems fighting with the undefeated Namibian for the title.

Andrade knocked down Walter Kautondokwa in first and third rounds and again did so twice in the fourth round. It seemed to be an easy victory for Andrade but Walter Kautondokwa shoed his immense courage to fight valiantly until the last bell.

Andrade hoi struggled a bit in the first half of the fight managed to gain his foothold for the second half. He managed to get away from his opponent’s long hands with his slick and fast footwork.

In the end, the victory went into the hands of the Rhode Island Star.
