This page explains how Net Sports 247 chooses, writes, checks and corrects its coverage. It applies to everything published under the NetSports 247 Editorial Team byline.
Sourcing
- Facts, scores and statistics come from primary sources wherever possible: official league, club and governing body sites, official scorecards and results services.
- Every news story cites at least two sources, and we name and link them in the article.
- Quotes are always attributed to the person who said them and to the outlet or press conference where they were said. We don’t invent or alter quotes.
- We write our own headlines and our own text. We don’t copy other outlets’ headlines or reproduce their articles.
Fact checking
Before a story goes live, the key facts (scores, dates, names, records and quotes) are checked against at least two independent sources. For upcoming events we give the actual date and start time with its time zone, never a vague “coming soon”.
Use of AI and automation
We use AI tools and automated workflows to help us research stories, draft articles, create social media posts and make short videos. These tools work from the published sources we cite. They don’t replace the sourcing and fact checking rules on this page, and the NetSports 247 Editorial Team is responsible for every article, whoever or whatever helped draft it.
Images
We only use images we’re allowed to use: freely licensed photos (for example from Wikimedia Commons, with the licence and author credited), official press and media images credited to their owner, embedded social media posts, and our own graphics. Illustrations are labelled as illustrations and are never presented as real news photos.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Corrections of fact are made in the article and noted at the bottom with the date of the change. To report an error, use the form on our Contact page and include the link to the article.
