Eight times Olympic gold medalist who is bidding to be a professional footballer after retiring from track and field, his trail with the Australian football club ‘Central Coast Mariners’ is now over.
The club in an official news announced that they are parting ways with the 32 years old athlete who was previously on indefinite trial.
Bolt who played 95 minutes for the A-league in two trial games scored two times against weak opposition still appeared to be in a tricky situation since his transition from track and field to the football field.
The Jamaican athlete superstar said, “I would like to thank Central Coast Mariners team owners, its management, its players and its fans for making me feel welcomed during my stay here. I sincerely wish for the club’s success in the season”.
Bolt scored these two goals against Macarthur South West united along with the partner Ross McCormack. Ross also said, “If he pulls it together in the game, he can be a real treat”.
Mike Charlesworth; the Central Coast Mariners owner has wished Bolt well for the future ahead.
