Like many times in this season, Giannis Antetokounmpo has put out great numbers again on Wednesday night game. However, the fellow team player D.J. Wilson caught the eye of the Bucks’ coach Mike Budenholzer.
On the Wednesday night game between Milwaukee Bucks VS New Orleans Pelicans, Bucks were able to win by 123-115 in what was a hard-fought win.
Budenholzer said, “It’s a huge statement. You need that throughout the season. You need your bench and it is really an important part of the game.”
Antetokounmpo led the Bucks on Wednesday night as he scored 24 points off his 8 assists and 8 rebounds.
Wilson, who was plagued with many injuries, has seen little action this season. He scored 10 points of his 10 rebounds and played through much of the fourth quarter.
Antetokounmpo praised the efforts of Wilson and said, “D.J. has done a great job of just paling the game and waiting of his turn. He is learning even right now.”
Another of the bench player from Bucks side, the newly acquired George Hill scored 11 points and also hit a 3-pointer shot by the end of the third quarter, which resulted in the game being tied at 90. Tony Snell another bench payer added in 13 points for the team as his role of a reserve payer.
New Orleans had bad luck on Wednesday night as their star player Anthony Davis only managed to score 4 points and 4 rebounds in the first quarter before limping away from the court and straight to the locker room. He suffered a left ankle injury after his legs were entangled with his own teammates during the first quarter.
Davis came back out in the game during the fourth quarter and scored the first 9 points of the period from Pelicans side. He totaled in 27 points with 11 rebounds for the night as he led the team. Jrue Holiday scored 25 points and 12 assists from Pelicans side.
Up Next, New Orleans Pelicans will play against Los Angeles Lakers on Friday whereas Milwaukee Bucks will play against Boston Celtics on Friday.
