Ben Simons, who had talked big the other day, baked it up with his amazing performance.
Simmons scored 20 points, 2 rebounds and 9 assist on the basketball game between Philadelphia 76ers VS New York Knicks to lead the win of 76ers by 108-105 on Sunday night.
Joel Embiid of the 76rs scored 26 points who were coming off with a 123-121 loss at home against Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. JJ Reddick scored 22 points while Jimmy Butler finished for the 76ers with his 16 points.
Simmons called his team “too soft” after they lost to Atlanta Hawks. He answered his won big talk with a pair of big plays during the fourth quarter game against the Knicks.
Emmanuel Mudiay of the Knicks missed out on a potential 3-pointer shot at the buzzer which could have tied the game.
Knox led the Knicks with his career high of 31 points while Luke Kornet scored his own career high of 23 points. With this loss, Knicks have lost 4 consecutive games and 19 of their 22 last games.
Knox, at 19 years old has become the sixth youngest NBA player in history to have scored 30 or more points in a game. He has joined the league of players like Kobe Bryant, Devin Booker, Jaren Jackson Jr., Kevin Durant, and LeBron James.
Knox said, “Those are some legendary players. There are a lot of other payers on that list and it just shows that the work I am putting in, is paying off. Those are some great guys in NBA to share company with.”
Up next, Philadelphia 76ers ill hot a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night while New York Knicks are going to face Washington Wizards for a game at the O2 arena in London on Thursday.
