British no. 2 Katie Boulter has been knocked out of the Australian Open after she lost her second round match against the 11th seed Aryna Sabalenka in Melbourne.
22 years old Katie Boulter, on Monday defeated Ekaterina Makarova to move into the second round but was beaten by 6-3 and 6-4 and Sabalenka.
The 20 years old Sabalenka will now face off against the American teenager Amanda Anisimova for their third round match.
On the other hand, the defending champion Caroline Wozniacki also eased into the third round after she defeated her Swede opponent Johanna Larsson by 6-1 and 6-3.
As for Sloane Stephens, she also won her match against Timea Babos by 6-3 and 6-1.
