The thrilling AFC Championship game of football between the New England Patriots VS Kansas City Chiefs ended with Patriots win by 37-31. With this win, Patriots have now moved into their 11th Super Bowl game and the night for the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick era. Patriots gained this win in overtime.
In the crazy fourth quarter during which the leads changed for more than six times, Red Burkhead of Pats’ side made a TD that sent the Patriots into their first Super Bowl in last 5 years.
The game was in favor of Pats in the first half as they went into the second half with a 13-0 lead. In the second half, Chiefs started their no. 1 offense to spark back to life.
In the third quarter, Patrick Mahomes made a 12 yard TD pass Travis Kelce which was again followed by a 52 yard TD pass to Sammy Watkins as the Chiefs made some changes on the scoreboard.
However, it was the fourth quarter that saw the game turned into a shootout.
Mahomes managed to make two TD passes both times to receiver Damien Williams to have Chiefs lead for the first time. A championship game record of 38 points was scored in the fourth quarter. The Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker sent the game into overtime with a 39-yard field goal in the last few seconds of the fourth quarter.
Williams made a TD to gain the lead for the Chiefs but Pats replied with their won TD pass by Sony Michel. After Butker’s field goal sent the game into overtime, it was Pats who won the toss for overtime and chose to receive the ball first. Butker again proved to be the hero for Pats with a game-winning score to set the Patriots to Atlanta.

Patriots 17-7 Chiefs: Gostkowski made a 47-yard field goal.
FOURTH QUARTER
Patriots 17-14 Chiefs: Mahomes made a one-yard touchdown pass to Damien Williams.
Patriots 17-21 Chiefs: Mahomes made a 23-yard touchdown pass to Damien Williams.
Patriots 24-21 Chiefs: Michel made a 10-yard touchdown run.
Patriots 24-28 Chiefs: Damien Williams made a two-yard touchdown run.
Patriots 31-28 Chiefs: Rex Burkhead made a four-yard touchdown run.
Patriots 31-31 Chiefs: Butker made a 39-yard field goal.
