If anyone is to blame for the drop in ratings for the Super Bowl LIII then the disgruntled New Orleans Saints fans are the one.
They are still mad about the 26-23 defeat of New Orleans Saints’ defeat to the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC championship game when the officials failed to make a non-call on a pass interference and helmet-to-helmet contact. The “Who Dat Nation” is preparing for the anti-Super Bowl parties on Sunday when the Rams will face the New England Patriots.
Jeffrey Carreras who is the owner of Tracey’s Original Irish Channel Bar and a Saints season-ticket holder for 25 years said to media, “I won’t be showing the game on any of my 24 TVs in my restaurant. If someone asks me that they want to watch the game, I will tell them to get the hell out and watch it at their home. Usually, we support teams that make it to the Super Bowl like New England by making chowder but not this year. This was one of the worst calls in the history of NFL and it still stings us bad.”
On the Wednesday’s Super Bowl conference, the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was asked that according to the rule 17 of the NFL the age is to be allowed to play from that certain point or altogether, he said, “Absolutely Not. We understand the frustrations of the fans but our officials are still human. They have to make some quick decisions in difficult circumstances and they are not going to get it right every time.”
